    Year 5A have raised

    £48.77 so far…
We had a fantastic day raising money for Marie Curie on Monday 30th March. We held a raffle and the prizes were our mini pots of care that we had been growing since December. Lots of children took part in our art and paper aeroplane competitions and they were very pleased with their prizes.

The final total of funds raised is to be confirmed as some children are still collecting their sponsored silence money.

Special thanks to Olivia Dernie and Chloe Fitch who donated the money they collected in a recent sponsored silence event.  Olivia raised £1.31 and Chloe raised £3.12.

Special thanks also goes to Kacey Mora and Lia Watson who sold lollipops and raised £15.40 towards our total.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank parents and children for supporting us in our fundraising activities .

On Friday year 3 and 4 visited Weston Park Museum in Sheffield. We took part in a workshop where we learned all about bones. We did lots of fun things like drawing animal skeletons, building a human skeleton and putting together an x-ray of a human body. We even got to handle some real animal bones!

  • Happy Hub - No Matter What

    Sat 18 Apr 2015

This week in the Happy Hub the children have been reminding themselves of their love for their family and friends and what a good relationship consists of.

The story of No Matter What reinforced that love never dies.

They also had a game of friendship bingo which reminded them what makes a good relationship.

No Matter What - all our children belong to our Langold Dyscarr Community School Family and we will always be here for them!

  • Year3/4A Assembly - Setting Ourselves Challenges!

    Sat 18 Apr 2015

Year 3/4A Assembly— Setting Ourselves Challenges!

During their assembly Year 3/4A shared with us the challenges that they have set themselves as Team Starlets:

    1. To learn the song Reach for the Stars

    2. Raise money for Red Nose Day by bouncing on the trampette—20p a go

    3. Fill the KS2 corridor with Achievement Stars

Year 3/4a are well on their way to achieving all of their challenges; Poppy sang a beautiful solo introduction to the song - she was very brave to do this by herself! For Red Nose Day the class raised £4.40. As for the Achievement Stars, the corridor is filling up daily, why not come and read about some of the fantastic things our pupils are achieving?

Year 3/4A also shared some of their work with us about the Stone Age as well as giving us a brilliant display of their karate and gymnastics skills. Well done Year 3/4A, we really enjoyed your assembly!
