Welcome to Mining Bees Class 2024-2025

Welcome to Mining Bees. We hope the children have had a wonderful summer break and are ready and raring to learn!  We are very excited to be welcoming children into Year 2, and can't wait to begin our Autumn Term topic - 'Chocolate!' 

A few key messages:

*I will be teaching the children Monday - Thursday lunch time, then Mrs. Tomlinson will take over and teach Thursday afternoon - Friday. We hope that the children will soon settle into this routine.

*Our PE days are Tuesdays and Wednesdays; school uniform is to be worn every day and PE kits brought into school for children to change into on the days they have PE.  PE kits will be sent home at the end of each half term. No earrings are to be worn, we kindly ask that these are taken out at home, otherwise they will need to be covered with medical tape. 

*Children will be given spellings to learn. Spelling tests will be on Fridays. We also ask that you read your child's reading book with them regularly and record in their diaries when you have done so.
