     Super Summer Fayre  - 2015

Our Summer Fayre  was an outstanding success this year!  Along with the splendid weather, we had an excellent turn out of parents, carers and friends. Your generous support raised approximately £1000.00. WOW! Thank you to all who attended, organised and ran a stall and baked — everyone appeared to have enjoyed the experience!

To top all this, we had a fantastic Karate display where our pupils were able to show off the skills they have been working so hard to perfect. Langold’s Got Talent showcased talent of a different kind. The winners, The Whippers, performed Watch me Whip, Watch me Nae Nae!  Wow! We have so many talented children in our school! Well done, everyone!

    F2 - A Fabulous Finale to Our F2 Year!

The F2 assembly was fabulous! It was a lovely end to our F2 Year; we loved showing off our work and singing our song! Well done F2! We celebrated with a party in the afternoon. On Monday, we went to The Yorkshire Wildlife Park—it was amazing. We timed our lunch break perfectly to coincide with the rain; just as we finished our sandwiches it stopped raining! We saw lots of playful and cheeky animals. The ostrich kept ‘photo bombing ‘ our photos! The giraffes were trying to trip each other up and the monkeys were trying to steal each other’s food! We walked for ‘miles’ but still found lots of energy to have fun in the play area. Thank you to all our helpers who came along. Next week we will base our activities around a beach theme. Don’t forget to wear summer clothes on Wednesday for our beach party. Any donations for our beach picnic on Wednesday will be much appreciated.

It was the last of the ‘Play Shops’ for our new nursery children and we had a party to celebrate! The children have been involved in 6 ‘Play Shops’ - messy play, nursery rhymes, healthy eating as well as learning the routines they will be experiencing in nursery. We can’t wait for you to start!

  • F1 - So Much Learning, So Much Fun!

    Sun 19 Jul 2015

On Monday, our F1 morning children walked to the library and the afternoon children went on Thursday afternoon (thank you to the helpers who came along). We had a lovely musical session with Cheryl, playing noisy instruments and singing songs and rhymes before we chose our new books. We love our books and stories. Did you know we can change our books during the summer holidays too with our mummies, daddies and carers? We love the library. On Wednesday, we had a lovely beach party in Caterpillar Music - we hula -hooped, played beach volleyball and surfed the waves. In literacy we have been deciding what to pack in our suitcase when we go on holiday and in numeracy we have been learning about periods of time, morning, afternoon, evening, days, months and years. We can’t wait for September to carry on with our fun and exciting learning!

I would like to say goodbye to all the F1 children and a BIG thank you to you parents for your support. I have had two fantastic terms at Langold Dyscarr community School and have loved being here. I will miss everyone! Mrs Woodhead

    Sun 19 Jul 2015

Year 3/4A had the opportunity to show off their baking skills last week. Children participated in a Great Langold Bake Off. Our very own Mary Berry (Mrs Huthart) had the very difficult job of tasting all the culinary delights. She announced Keira's cookies as the winner!

Thank you to all  parents/visitors who joined us and donated money towards our class charity. We raised £35 making the grand total for Bassetlaw Hospice £165!
