World  Book Day - Blaize the Reading Dog

Blaize listened to some very interesting stories, in the library, on World Book Day. Many of the stories were about cats or dogs which made his ears prick up. Peggy brought Blaize some doggie treats to reward him for showing such good listening skills! We made £89.05 for ‘Guide Dogs for the Blind” Thank you for your donations! There were many other activities, based around books,  in which we all loved taking part.

  • Mother's Day Lunch

    Sat 14 Mar 2015

Thank you to all the ‘special ladies’ in our lives who were able to attend our Mother’s Day lunch; it was so popular we needed 4 sittings! At each sitting  one of our ‘special ladies’ had her name drawn from the raffle and received a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Our winners were:

Miss Grigg, Mrs Platt, Mrs Coulthard and Mrs Perkins.

We loved sharing the occasion with you!                                           Thank you to Lisa and Sarah for the delicious lunch and all the dinner staff and helpers, too!

10 Step Guide to  Mummification - Year 3/4 Assembly

Year 3/4 showed off a variety of skills and excellent work based on their term’s work on Egypt. They explained the process of mummification to us and expertly demonstrated how to bandage the ‘mummy’. We saw some fantastic examples of homework including pyramid models. Egyptian hieroglyphs posed no problem when it came to spelling out Langold is the BEST! As well as showing off their lovely Egyptian work, Year 3/4 showed us some fantastic karate and gymnastics skills. Well done, Year 3/4, we loved your assembly!

Year 5A - Inspired by Lynley Dodd’s Slinky Malinki

Year 5A loved reading Slinky Malinki and were inspired to write their own poems in a similar style. Abbiegail wrote  a super poem!

    Oscar Motasker

Oscar Motasker was a beautiful cat

He was a light snowy white

He only came out when it was sunny and bright

His eyes were a deep emerald green

The most intriguing eyes you have ever seen!

    He was so very shy

And he slept morning 'til nigh

He never bothered with oncoming dogs

And in the back garden he could leap with frogs!

    Well done, Abbiegail!
