Y2 - Sukkot

This week year 2 have been making a Sukkot in R.E. we did this to help us learn about how Jewish people celebrate at harvest time. We found out that they build a Sukkot outside and eat a celebratory meal inside it. Jewish people believe that it is important to leave some gaps in the roof so that God can watch over them.

Sukkot is observed from October 16th (at sundown)

to October 23rd in the evening, in 2016.
