Dear Parents/Carers/Members of the Langold Community

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you as parents and carers for your continued support over the past year; we have had another successful year with many things to celebrate.

We are, once again, proud that our Year 6 achieved a high standard of SATs results with more children gaining the higher levels than ever before. they wowed us with their performance of  'In the Habit' (AKA Sister Act) and they partied in style at their Prom. We lauded the success of our                        'AWARD-WINNING' PTFA at the Worksop Guardian Best in Schools award and are very grateful for all they have done for the school this year! We celebrated Mrs Hewlett's Best Office Assistant award, too. Many children continue to collect their passport stamps for the Children's University earlier this month at their graduation ceremony.

In the coming year, we have a number of priorities which will drive our improvement plan. e know that standards in mathematics need to be higher and we need to further stretch our higher ability pupils. Last year you told us that you would like to see more clubs for the pupils in Key Stage 1 so this year the children have enjoyed taking part in multi-sports, gymnastics and football. We will continue to monitor clubs and hopefully add to the broad range currently on offer.

Finally, I would like to wish you a very happy summer holiday and I look forward to seeing you in September for another exciting and successful year.
