F2 - A Patchwork of Colourful Learning!

F2 - A Patchwork of Colourful Learning!

What a colourful Friday. It was great to see everyone in their favourite coloured t-shirts. We looked like a patchwork class which was a good way to lead into our Elmer week. We had a letter from Elmer asking us for help to tell him what colours he is. We have also had a go at retelling the story using stick puppets and colouring in lots of beautiful patterns. Elmer is different and we all talked about what makes us special. There were lots of lovely ideas, from what we look like to the pets we have. Elmer sent us ‘Thank you’ sweets for our hard work.

In gymnastics, we  practised a dish arch– no hands and feet allowed on the floor. It looked very tricky but the children were amazing.

We took part in a hospital role play. Miss Hopkinson brought in a real stethoscope for us to            listen to our hearts. We had a good run outside to see if our hearts beat faster.

Congratulations to the children who have collected 4 reading stamps. They received a                     certificate and a prize. Please keep up the good reading!                                                                           In Caterpillar Music we had a fantastic time in the Magical Land of Nursery Rhymes and Fairy Tales!
