European Day of Languages
Our children were able to tour Europe and sample a variety of cultures and languages, including British Sign Language. The activities inspired the use of many skills — language learning (listening, speaking and observing), problem solving, physical dexterity, team work, communication skills, artistic creativity, food sampling and evaluation, reporting back to peers and broadening cultural awareness. WOW! What a lot to pack into a day. Thanks too, to Lisa, our cook, who served up a delicious Italian menu! The children were split into mixed age groups and their behaviour was impeccable! We are so proud of all you achieved. Well done to everyone and thank you to all the staff who helped make the day so special and enjoyable! You are welcome to come and see the European Day of Languages display to see photos and examples of what the children made. Don’t forget to complete your European Day of Languages Passport and enter it for the prize competition!
F2 made Gelato a la vaniglia e lamponi - buonissimo! They also sampled the deliziosa Pizza ai funghi from the ‘Pizzeria Perkins’ !
