Welcome to Carpenter Bee Class!

In Carpenter Bees, we are a mixed Y5/6 class. Our School Day starts at 8.40am, break is at 10.15am and lunch is at 12.15pm. Our School Day finishes at 3.10pm. 

Our PE days are Thursday and Friday. Y5 ONLY - Swimming on Tuesdays

Our daily expectations:

• Reading diary and reading book in every day with evidence of daily reading.
• Target times tables and KIRFs to be practised daily.
• Spellings to be practised daily ready for tests on a Friday
• Full PE Kit and training shoes to be worn on PE days (Thursday and Friday)

Autumn Term - World War 2 

For some on you, this will be your last year at Langold and we want to make it the very best!

This Autumn term we will base all of our learning around World War 2. We will look at what life was like before the war, during the war and then after the war. We will visit Eden Camp in North Yorkshire too. Check out the website: https://edencamp.co.uk/ 

In Art, our projects will include photograph, sketching and sewing based on World War 2.

In Science, we will focus on the Human Species and Properties of materials.

PE lessons will begin with Gymnastics and then move onto Orienteering.

Computing lessons will focus on blogging skills to create blogs about World War 2.

During PSHEE sessions, we will discuss how to keep healthy, hygienic and how to be mentally and physically prepared in life.
