Assessment Model

As the majority of work in PSHEE lessons is not written based, we rely on other types of assessment tools in order to gauge children's understanding of the learning. We do this in the following ways:

  • Through verbal feedback
  • Questions boxes
  • Low stake quizzes
  • Presentations by the learners
  • Plenaries summarising two new things that have been learnt during a lesson
  • Role play
  • Observations
  • 1:1 discussions

Each child completes a toolbox at the end of a unit. This is their 'Toolbox For Life'. It represents all the things they have learnt during a unit that they feel is important for them to remember and take with them as they grow up.
