Digger Bees

Mr Nobes and Mrs Bowskill welcomes you to Digger Bees!

Welcome Page

We hope you had a lovely Christmas and New Years break. We look forward to welcoming you all back.

This Spring term, we will base most of our learning around The Empire Windrush. We will look at what life was like around the world once WW2 had finished and the impact of this. We will look at diversity, prejudice and discrimination and how this was experienced by those who travelled on the Windrush. We will finish off with our very own TED talk!

We are also going to focus on Anti-Bullying and Online Behaviours and use this to create our own narrative poem.

This terms learning:

Art: our work will include photograph, sketching and sewing based on World War 2. This will then result in a final piece, combining the skills will have learn into one final piece.

Science: we will focus on the Human Species, Electricity and Light. These lessons will include plenty of practical elements.

PE: lessons will focus on Pickleball & Game Sense in Spring 1 then Netball & Basketball for Spring 2.

Computing: lessons will focus on Internet Safety and identifying safe sources of information.

PSHEE: lessons will focus on the impact of Parliament, Internet Safety specifically relating to social media and perceptions online and finishing with Risk Taking & Drug Education.

RE: will focus on World Views and Community before moving on to The Easter Story & The Eucharist.
